Love it! Soooo cute. Thanks for the shout out. You should really submit this to some party sites to be featured. Shannon at www.creativepartiesandshowers.blogspot.com would love it! Makes me wish I either lived somewhere warmer or my kids had birthdays in the summer so I could have the party outside!

Jess - thanks for the inspiration! And thanks for the suggestion - we may just do that.

Found your blog through creative parties and showers. I loved looking at your pirate party over and over again. That walk the plank game is awesome. Thanks for sharing. I also love Jess Newman's banners. You did a great job.

Welcome to everyone who's coming over from Creative Parties and Showers! Thanks for the kind comments. We had a lot of fun making this stuff and the kids had a ton of fun at the party.

I love this! I am working on putting together a pirate party for my soon-to-be 3 year old. Where did you get the list with the different treasures they were supposed to find in the sand box? That is such a fun idea.

Glad you liked the idea! We had a hard time figuring out how to do those lists, too, so I just drew the items on a sheet of paper and scanned them in. Erin colored them in photoshop and we put them on a pirate map backdrop that I found on DeviantArt and printed them at home.

Everything about this party is absolutely precious! I have twin sons that are turning two in September and we are throwing them a pirate party as well. I'm so glad I found your blog, because it has been an inspiration to my party planning. I especially love the birthday banner. Would you be willing to make a banner for my sons' party?

Wow! So glad I found this site! My husband wanted my son's 1st birthday party to be a pirate party and Ive hesitated for months as I thought that pirates might be too scary of a theme for a baby's first birthday. All of your ideas are so cute, creative and age appropriate that Im very much inspired to jump on board with his "pirate party" idea! Thank you!!!!
